Didn't work for me May 23, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I used a prosleeve with a 14 golf ball capacity. I was interested in the prosleeve because it seemed like a really great idea, but it failed miserably when I used it. It wasn't reliable at picking up balls, nor was it reliable in dispensing them. I sent the first prosleeve back and wanted a refund the company assured me that I would have better results with the 2nd one. The 2nd one had the same basic problems as the first one, and to top it off the trigger broke which rendered it totally useless. I sent the 2nd one back at my own expense and refused delivery of a third one when Prosleeve Golf sent one to me.
I used the prosleeve device here in the northwest in late autumn here in the northwest in short game area that was damp and a little muddy. Perhaps the prosleeve would work a lot better in drier conditions but in the conditions I used it worked terribly. After having sent the 2nd prosleeve item sent back to the company I bought another golf ball retriever, a device called the "Pro Stick", for just over a fourth of the price of the Prosleeve. It holds 23 golf balls and has a release trigger that is foot activated. The ProStick is a much more reliable device, even in the damp stuff. Eventually the foot trigger will break but it gives a lot of use and is a much better value for the money.
