The forged irons are made from soft carbon steel to enhance feel and workability, and they have a thin topline, narrow sole and minimum offset, along with a slight cavityback design. Engineered with high-performance design features for greater distance and versatility off the tee, the Adams Golf Idea Pro Hybrid iWood is designed to be versatile from a variety of lies--in the fairway or out of the rough--with very satisfactory trajectories. The Idea Pro has one of the lowest centers of gravity (CG) and highest moment of inertias (MOI) on the tour, and it was the #1 hybrid on the Champions and Nationwide Tours, and #2 hybrid on the PGA Tour in 2006. It features a pull-face construction with a custom steel face, designed for low spin and enhanced ball speed. Moment of Inertia--This is the term applied to a clubhead's resistance to twisting when the ball is struck, and it can be expressed as a numerical measurement. A clubhead with a higher moment of inertia (or MOI) has greater resistance to twisting and offers more forgiveness on off-center hits (i.e., will fly straighter). The size and weighting properties of a clubhead can be manipulated to add a greater MOI.
