LeapFrom is an excellent "learning toy" January 7, 2009 My three-year-old grandson loves this "toy." It's an excellent and educational pre-school activity for toddlers.
LeapFrog ClickStart December 16, 2008 First comment of the product is the quality of video is not for 42" Plasma TV. The product is to be run on a smaller TV set. As when I run it on the wide screen TV, it becomes digital pixels.
Secondly, the mouse is something for kid to learn how to use a mouse, but I think it is too small, and there is no way to detech the mouse.
Overall, it is ok, there are still a few things my son can learn.
OK, but better choices out there November 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son is a big Thomas fan so this is one of the first cartridges I bought for his new ClickStart.
The games do feature the Thomas characters in believable settings, and the activities are generally educational. Sir Top'em Hat is the narrator and is difficult to understand at times. Also the audio instructions are frequently difficult to hear over the music.
Lastly, maybe I'm expecting too much, but the player gets the same "well done" message even if they didn't do anything. My son quickly caught onto this.
If your kid is a Thomas buff this is a good game. If you are only getting a couple for your ClickStart I think there are better choices.
Thomas & Friends Click Start Game August 26, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Overall it is a fairly well designed game. I believe the game options could be extended for the amount of money these games cost. The graphics are slightly on the poor side BUT the games themselves my son adores. The game level for a beginner is a little hard- he's only 3 and his ability for addition is not quite there yet. I personally cannot stand the cartoon and find the trains demonic looking (like the Easter Bunny in the Mall) but I guess the company is doing something right because kids cannot get enough of it.
Entertaining and Educational February 8, 2008 We purchased this for our Grandchildren to use and it has worked well. It is still a bit advanced for our 2 year old, but he is catching on. Our 4 year old thoroughly enjoys it. The combination of play and learning is excellent.
