So many games, such a tidy little package December 8, 2008
The PS2 has managed to stay relevant in part thanks to this newer version with the tiny dimensions. In addition, the variety of available games is so great, and the array of quality games is so great, that it should stay relevant for many years to come.
The only drawback I've had with my PS2 is a reluctance to play many DVDs. The PS2 has failed to read several brand new DVDs that played fine on my standard player, while many unblemished DVDs did play albeit with skipping issues. That's not a big deal considering how cheap standard DVD players are, though it's nice to have a gaming console that does double duty.

This game console is tiny, easy to set up and works great. You barely even notice it sitting on top of the TV.

I was shocked by how small, thin, and light weight this version of the console is. I was so shocked I started wonder if it even performs all of the same functions as the original PS2...and so happens it does! Great purchase, great product. Worth every penny.
PS2 and young kids December 25, 2007
My sons were 5 when they recieved this as a Christmas gift from their Grandfather, much against my wishes. I thought that it would break before they really knew what they were doing and that it was too expensive, I was wrong this is the best gaming console they have ever owned. It has lasted three years now without any problems. It has with stood plane trips to Florida, and the rough housing of boys. The boys love the amount of games that they can choose from and the graphics also. This toy is one of the best purchases that could have been made for them.
