The sandblasted club face features v-grooves for superb spin and shot control. The wedge is fitted with True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts. The HiPPO golf brand was born out of Howson Sports, a UK based sports equipment manufacturer in 1989. It has grown rapidly to become the largest European-based brand in the golf industry. The original objective was to create a unique wood head design that would provide superior performance at excellent value to the golfer. A team of UK based professionals, including PGA European Tour Director and player DJ Russell, was recruited to thoroughly test prototypes.  decent wedge and decent price April 12, 2008
relatively inexpensive wedge, forged is a plus, and grip is decent. design is classic and sleek.
grooves could have been cut better to get more grip on the ball. shaft seems not be true temper dynamic but a low budget version shaft, and shafts are very important in this game. but overall its playable.
you can get very cheap wedges either making them yourself or taking golfsmith's club workshop where you get to learn and make a sand wedge yourself for 15 bucks and get to keep it at the end.

I purchased this wedge for $25. In my novice expereince, there is no equal to this club in a performance to price ratio. It is extremely easy to hit, and really makes you look much better than you actually are. I would recommend this club to a friend, even if that friend had unlimited funds and was an experienced golfer. Now, that friend may call me names and denounce my credibility after trying the club, but I nonetheless would recommend it to him.
