Product Description Only the AirMax ML (Multi Layer) has the one-of-a-kind competitive personality of Jack Nicklaus built right in. It?s the one driver that can inject your game with the legend?s confidence and performance. The AirMax ML is crafted from forged, cryogenic Superbeta, which is 18% harder than ordinary beta-titanium, free of imperfections, and provides explosive energy transfer at impact--whether your swing speed is slow, average or fast. Designed thinner around the perimeter and thicker in the center, the AirMax ML?s face is much wider than traditional single-thickness faces and has an expanded High COR Zone. COR refers to Coefficient of Restitution, which is a measurement of the clubface's ability to rebound the ball. The AirMax provides a higher COR at lower clubhead speeds for more distance than the competition at less than 109 miles per hour. The combination of materials and design generates a high launch angle at impact, which creates a flatter peak in ball flight, more hang time and extra roll. The AirMax ML?s optimal center of gravity weighting shifts the center of gravity back from the face, expanding the effective hitting area and increasing the Moment of Inertia (MOI) to all points along the face. MOI refers to the degree of forgiveness for off-center hits. About Nicklaus Golf Founded in 1992 by Jack Nicklaus and Nelson Doubleday, the Nicklaus Golf Equipment Company began operations with one simple objective: to develop professional quality golf equipment that reflects Jack?s exacting standards, unsurpassed knowledge and legendary spirit of the game. Today, that original mission still holds true. Nicklaus Golf's manufacturing facility has grown from 10,000 square feet to more than 35,000, and remains home to some of the most innovative and technologically advanced designs in the world of premium golf equipment. With Jack firmly at the helm, Nicklaus Golf has skyrocketed from a relatively exclusive golf equipment manufacturer to one of the most sought-after brands in the retail market. With 20 majors and 70 Tour victories to his credit, Jack Nicklaus is widely regarded as the ultimate authority in golf. He is truly a legend, renowned as both a dogged perfectionist and fierce competitor, bringing incredible focus and determination to every aspect of the game. And his involvement in his company is no different.

Good Wood April 4, 2006 My husband's slice isn't nearly as hars. Either he's getting better or this is a pretty good wood. My bet's on the club:)
Absolutely fantastic! February 25, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am a inconsistent player with a slow swing. THis driver has given me an edge because of its incredible forgiveness. I can highly recommend it. I have now a lot more fun and less frustration in my game. If I could only find a similar piece of equipment for my lousy small game ...
